I saw Skin Station's promo on their Facebook page and availed the following:
"Diode Laser Hair Removal for the Underarms at P3,000 for 2
sessions and pay P10 on your third session and P20 on your fourth
session."
The regular price for this costs P1,500/session so I only got the 4
sessions for only P3,030!
They will provide the link on FB on how we could purchase the promo
online using paypal. This promo is available on all its branches.
IPL VS Diode
I have tried IPL from other skin clinics and already had 6
sessions. After a month from the 6th session, oh well, the hairs grow
again! I cannot fully say that IPL works because I didn't go
through the complete program after all. Typically, IPL requires 8 - 10 sessions
for best results. That's why I'm going to try this diode laser because
based on the studies that I've read over the internet, Diode laser shows
increased efficacy over IPL because it provides safer and deeper
penetration into the skin layer.
My 1st Diode treatment
So I called Robinson's Ermita branch and picked my preferred date and
time. Just so you know, they are really making sure that you haven't plucked
your hairs 4 weeks prior to the treatment before confirming to the appointment
schedule. According to them, the more mature, thick, and dark the root is, the
MORE EFFECTIVE the treatment will be!
Upon getting there, I just filled up some information on the reception
and was able to undergo the treatment right away. The attendant seems to be
very knowledgeable about the procedure. While she was shaving
my underarms (which are very hairy that time haha!), she
explained the whole procedure and what to expect.
Cool gel was applied over my armpit then the attendant gave me an eye
mask to protect my eyes. After a few
seconds, the device became warmer. Actually, It's not painful at all.
Some have compared it to a rubber band snapping against the skin but very
tolerable.
Expect hair to grow immediately after the treatment. This is normal.
Many of the hairs will have no resistance when plucked or you will notice it
falling off from your underarms. This only means that the follicles have been
damaged.
They advised me to buy InflaDerm cream after treatment. It should be
applied twice daily on affected areas for 3 days. It costs P220 but haven't
used it because I haven't experienced redness or any inflammation.
I'll continue my review after each session. For now, I'll just continue
writing down the instructions they handed off after the procedure.
